William Edward Hill III, CPA
1947 – 2026
Our founder, Ed Hill, graduated from Tulane University with a degree in psychology in 1969. After spending two years in the United States Army, he returned to school and earned a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Houston in 1973. Ed was a guiding force in the Texas title industry from 1978 until his passing in 2026. He began providing escrow audit services in 1987 and later founded Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC in 2012.
Jane H. Schultz, CPA, CFE
East Texas
Jane graduated from New Mexico State University in 1976 and has been an auditor and consultant ever since. Her audit background includes internal and fraud auditing in the banking, insurance, and title industries. She also spent three years as consultant to the president of American General Corp (now AIG). Jane began performing escrow audits with Ed Hill in 2005 and helped to found Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC in 2012. Jane is our managing partner and assists new title agencies with financial statements for licensing in Texas.
Katie Sallean, CPA
Houston
Katie graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and started her career at KPMG in the audit services division. She has owned her own web design firm and has been in the title industry for over 15 years, working as a Senior Escrow Accountant at Stewart Title and then as Escrow Auditor at Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC.
Belinda Allen, CPA
North Texas
Belinda graduated from Texas A&M University in 1982 and has spent her entire professional career in the title industry. For almost 25 years, she worked in the Audit Services Department at Stewart Title Guaranty Company as an Auditor and Manager and now as Escrow Auditor at Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC.
Nicole Hemmat
Houston
Nicole graduated from University of Houston and started her career at First American Title Company as South-Central Regional Auditor in 2001. Between 2007 to 2013, Nicole worked as an Escrow Specialist Consultant and worked with several independent title agents. She joined Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC as an Escrow Auditor in 2013.
Marcia Hatfield
North Texas
Marcia has over 25 years working in Escrow Accounting for title companies. Her background is reconciling bank statements, working with audit firms and dealing with multiple banks. She handles the bank confirmation process for all Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC clients.
Missy Deen, CPA
North Texas
Missy graduated from Texas Tech University and started her career at Price Waterhouse in the audit services division. Missy has over 11 years of experience in financial reporting and accounting in the commercial real estate industry and 8 years of experience as title company controller. She joined the team at Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC as an Escrow Auditor in 2014.
Teri Riedel, CPA
West Texas
Teri worked in the title industry for ten years prior to receiving her accounting degree from Texas Tech University. She was an auditor for the Texas Department of Insurance-Title Examinations Division and retired in 2016 with almost 16 years of experience auditing title insurance agents. After retiring from TDI, Teri joined the Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC team.
Daralyn Lopez, CPA
South Texas
Daralyn graduated from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree and a minor in Mathematics in 2007 and spent several years as a middle & high school mathematics teacher. She then received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from Western Governors University in 2018 and her CPA license in 2020. Daralyn joined the Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC audit team in 2018.
Kimberly Bowlin, CPA
East Texas
Kim began her public accounting career in bank audits after graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1990. Early in her career, she joined a small accounting firm where she gained valuable experience in all aspects of public accounting. Kim joined the Ed Hill team in 2018 with more than 34 years of extensive experience in bookkeeping, tax preparation, compilations, and reviews for small businesses.
Cindy Taylor, CPA
Houston
Cindy graduated from Louisiana State University and began her accounting career with Stewart Title Guaranty Company in Houston. During her 20 years with Stewart Title, she gained extensive experience across Audit Services, Corporate Accounting, Lender Services, and National Title Services. Cindy was fortunate to meet Ed Hill during her years at Stewart Title and has enjoyed working with the Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC team for the past several years.
Vanessa Miller
Houston
Vanessa joined the Ed Hill team in 2023, with 34 years of experience in tax, bookkeeping, and accounting services. Vanessa supports the firm's audit practice by finalizing audit workpapers and coordinating engagement documentation. She also provides administrative support throughout the audit process, assisting auditors with document management and other essential tasks that contribute to efficient and successful audit engagements.
Lisa Stepanski
East Texas
Lisa has over 34 years of experience in the Title industry serving as an Escrow Officer for residential and commercial transactions. She also has experience with the Title Examination process. Lisa joined the Ed Hill team in 2024 and assists auditors with guaranty file reviews.
William E. Hill IV
Houston
Will is the son of the late owner and founder of Ed Hill & Company. He received his degree in Engineering from the University of Houston in 2013. He has a background in new product development within the oil and gas sector. Will joined Ed Hill & Company in 2026 as the Texas Land Title Association liaison.
Laura Hill
Conroe
Laura received her B.A. in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University and her J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law. Laura is the daughter of the late owner and founder and joined Ed Hill & Company in 2026 as general counsel.
